Aquastab pH Neutraliser is a premium filtration medium composed of naturally sourced Limestone (calcium carbonate, CaCO3). This granular sedimentary rock is the primary material used to effectively adjust the chemical balance of acidic water. It is specifically designed to safely introduce calcium carbonate into the water stream, making it a reliable, self-limiting solution for pH correction and overall water quality improvement in both domestic and industrial applications.

How It Works

• Sacrificial Neutralization: As acidic water passes through the media, the limestone slowly dissolves, neutralizing the acid (low pH) through a natural chemical reaction.

• Self-Limiting Process: Unlike chemical dosing, limestone media will generally not over-correct the pH, ensuring the water remains in a safe, balanced range.

• The Result: Balanced, non-corrosive water that extends the lifespan of your entire plumbing system and improves the efficacy of secondary filtration stages.

Maintenance

To ensure consistent pH levels and equipment protection:

• Replenishment: Because this media is "sacrificial" (it dissolves as it works), it must be topped up or replaced every 1 – 2 years, depending on your water’s acidity and flow volume.

• Flow Rate Control: For optimal neutralization, ensure the water flow rate is not too fast, allowing sufficient contact time with the media.

• Backwashing: Regular backwashing of the FRP vessel is required to prevent the media from "cementing" and to clear any trapped sediment.
